Sir, I use Stretch Mask Friskfilm all the time, the trick to removing it without leaving residue is to gently heat it with a blow dryer as your removing it. This little trick works great for me, hope it does well for you also.
I have had a problem with the residue before I found this friskfilm, and the only way I know of to remove it, is to use a grease remover on it, and that can be really tricky if the residue is on your art work. I'm sure someone else will chime in on this with more info for ya.
