Default Wahooo!! I did my first AB (daggers)

Well I fanally found a place that sells paint paper and other bits and pieces and there are getting some Friskt in for me plus other numerous gear...

So I get home take all the gear and setup the shed find a peice of MDF timber staple gun the A6 cartrige paper to it, seal tape all the connectors, crank up the compressor, add some paint to the Airbrush... and get nervous... seriously it was a very nervous thing for me... fear of messing up the brush felt very "normal/natural" in my hand.. so we start with working out what action does what with the trigger - well the first 10 minutes was all about making a mess - then it was onto trying out some straight lines - these had small blobs then a line then I got the hang of air first then paint but somehow I got a very small disconnected dot then a perfect line - then we thoughts lets do Daggers!!! well my daggers sucked but if the paper was turned upside down they looked perfect... I see what they mean by practice doing long daggers this gives you the ability to reduce the throttle somewhat as I was just removing my finger from the accelerator altogether (sorry for the car referrences) by this time I am onto my second pot of paint in the AB... after doing another few pages of daggers and messing around it was time to clean up.

I have the compressor set at 25-30psi and using paint straight from the bottle I have not thinned it as it seems to be a fine consistancy the package says that if I thin it it will give an opaque finish (which might be too thin )every now and then I get a small splatter not sure what I am doing to get this but it is at the begining of each line - any ideas on this... yeah I know I should post up the pic of it but a little embarrassed with my efforts

So that was my first experience with AB... will I be any good - who knows I just have to get the throttle and clutch better co-ordinated ( it really is like drag racing - getting the right amount of clutch and throttle to get the right sort of traction/launch)
