Welcome aboard DMarie, interesting questions you pose, most T-shirts artists spray between 40-60 psi, hard surface painting can range anywhere from 10 psi and up, paint viscosity plays a big role in paint flow also ( thinner flows better ) . The bluriness you speak of can be a result of many things, but it most likely control of the airbrush, my first suggestion for you would be to read and follow the free lessons provided here on the site, post some practice sheets and let some of the other artists guide you along your learning of the art of Airbrushing.
