What size is the original artwork?
First thing I think of is Kinkos or Office Depot type place. Another option might be a public library... lots of them allow you to purchase CDs, and have scanners available for use.

my smallest is 15x30 the biggest is 20x30, office depot cant, we dont have a kinkos midland might though ill try over there.
Ouch!
So, the size is the issue? Is it possible to scan in sections, then 'stitch' together in Photoshop?

ink...
Another possibility might be a local university.
Or, it may be possible to find a professional land surveying office... they often have larger plotters & scanners than the typical Joe-down-the-road.

maybe i havnt tried that. i did find a company in ca but they want almost 200 buck per piece. and i would have to send it to them, not sure if i want to do that
One more (sorry to be so scattered, but I'm brainstorming here)
What about a museum? It's possible that they may have a larger scanner for archival purposes. You may need to get a USB drive, then burn a disk later at another location.

we have a small museum here but they cant do it, if they could my work would probly offend them, small minded rednecks around here. they ogle over still life
People are funny about art, to say the least. I don't know that I'd be too thrilled about shipping artwork out, especially when there is no guarantee that they won't pirate your work & publish, print or sell it.
I would try the smaller section scans & see what kind of results you get from this. Another option might be to go to a fine photographer & gets some shots made, if you're just looking for archival purposes.

I was thinking along the lines of scribs last suggestion. If you can get a good clear photo of your artwork then you be able to save it to a disc and make prints from that.
there is a local camera shop here thats going to do it, a very good price to
