    Default leather jacket

    Hi

i have to paint a design on the back side of a leather jacket.
I've never paint on leather and would like to get some infos on how to process:
-1) whitch way to prepare the surface ?
-2) Can i use HOK sovent paint ?
    -3) Can i use Auto-air paint
-4) What kind of clear do i have to use to fix it and be sure that the design will get a long life without shading or craking .
    Thnaks in advance

don't know about uro's but i have painted a couple leatherjackets with
Golden fluid acrylics,,,paint with thin coats,
clean the area with some alcohole mabe delute it with water
you need to be careful when cleaning not using to strong liquids
so you wipe of the coloring in the leather it causes dull spots
as an top coat to my Golden fluids i use Golden transparent extender

Don't mean to hijack this post but maybe this question needs to be asked too. Did you heat set the paint with a hair dryer or anything like that?

Hey now Pat. I use krylon on my leather stuff and have never had a problem. LIGHT coats and heat in between each one. And Cliff, I always heat "set" the paint as I go along. dont know if it helps but I have always done it and it seems to work for me.

Well , i get the jacket and plan to paint it with acrylic paints!
I don't have krylon clear in France but i think i can find a french product close to the krylon ?
Is the krylon clear an acrylic clear ???
Is it glossy , mate , or satin one ?
Is it flexible ? resit to UV ?
