    Default Sg 100

Does sg 100 go bad? I Primed a ABS panel with some ppg laquer primer and let dry then I sprayed the panel with HOK orion silver. I then sprayed some sg100 over the silver to seal it. I let it dry for two days and today I was cutting out a mask on it and my thumb left a imprint on the surface which I sanded out but now I have to spray it silver again to touch it up? So my question is does the stuff go bad? IS it possible I sprayed the sg100 on to soon-this is the first time I have had this problem any help would be appriciated.

I think I found out my problem I used the slow reducer instead of the fast reducer because thats all I had at the time and after looking at the tech sheet which says to use the fast reducer I am convinced that I used the wrong reducer.

What do you use to clean the gun after spraying SG100? Water? The reducer?

    Thanks

Don't use water! Get some cheap laquer thinner to clean your gun with its much cheaper then using HOK reducers.

I picked me up some laquer thinner from Lowes. It said it was medium so I hope that is OK.

Now... when spraying the clear coat it says to use two medium coats. I am spraying over AA and Createx paints and will be spraying AA and Createx over the clear coat. In the AA support forum I was told the trick is to first use a "tack" coat and then medium wet coats.

Is a "tack" coat where you spray a "mist" and it looks dry after you spray it? Is a medium wet coat when it looks wet when you are just done spraying the coat?

    Thanks
