Hey brushbyair, thnx very much for the info, createx is so much safer and easier than auto base paint, i'm gonna order some and see what it's like

it gets better, i'm paying $16 for 120 ml of createx, i can get wicked online for $25 for 480 ml. MMUUUUUCHHHH CHEAPER!!
here's a snippet of what it says on the website i deal through:
Suitable for T-shirt, Automotive,Canvas, Wood artists. Totally NEW formula, Createx Wicked is aptly named with minimum overspray, virtually no tip dry issues and ultra fine atomization for uses even now with a Custom Micron. Follow the normal drying procedure as Createx Colors requirements. and reduce with Auto Air 4011 Reducer.
480ml for $25 sure sound like a sweet dream, hope that there is not a CATCH
IN GOD WE TRUST
bray
i hear ya redneck, i'm going to have a good look at it today, will post how it goes![]()
I purchased Wicked in the primaries, white and black and have been very satisfied with it using the 4011 reducer with the letter batch codes. Since the Wicked and Auto Air Borne are the same, the only problem that some may have is that (to date from my supplier) the Wicked only comes in 16oz bottles as the smallest quantity where as the AAB can be purchased in 4 oz bottles at a slightly higher cost. I think that in the future I will be buying the AAB because it is available in wider variety. --JM2cents.![]()
Gators, i did the same, got black and white and primaries, still got a heap of createx in stock, so i'll probably mix and match. be interesting to see how it goes, hope to get it by friday so i can try it out on the weekend :0
what is the clean up like and why are they only going as low as16 0z. that's a lot of paint and if it has shelf life I am looking for something for skateboards and sculptures and wood this may be it but I paint in my house and I have a daughter I do not want to in danger her when she watches I have her put on a disposable mask what is safety on wicked or the other paint aab ANY HELP WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED
Hi nova, i can only get wicked in the larger bottles here in australia, but the standard createx comes in 4 oz. also, i'm still a bit confused on the subject, others here will know, but i think autobourne is the same as wicked(like i said i think) and it comes in the smaller bottles. i'm not 100% sure, but like i said others will know for sure. as for cleanup, i use windex window cleaner watered down 50%, then rinse with water. just a tip, i have left it in the airbrush cup overnight a few times without any trouble, but if i use all the paint in the brush cup and forget to clean it, the next day it's a bit of a mission to get it clean, the createx sets a bit, lol.![]()
Nova, Ditto on what Dave said, just to add you can get Autobourne in 4 and 8 oz bottles. I just get some and it works great on both hard surfaces ( helmets, tanks etc) and t-shirts, as for clean up i use regular tap water with no problems. Make sure you get the 4011 reducer for it. I had to thin down the white and black about 50/50 but the other colors worked good straight out of the bottle. Hope this helps.
Come Hell or High Blood Pressure, I will be an Airbrush Artist!!!
thanks it helps at this point I like media and golden I have tried the regular createx I have hade some problems w/I really would like to start trying t-shirts this is why I would like a paint that would be good for t-shirts hard surfaces and canvas
ok," senior moment" here!! just to clarify, i can use "auto-borne on tees and metal etc?so whats the diff between "wicked" and "auto-borne"?( which im using now and really like)riki.
riki, From what i read and heard from other members Wicked and Autobourne are the same paint the only difference is bottle size you can purchase and one is made here in the US and one is made in europe ( not sure which one) . It was a marketing strategy from createx i think.

thanks ralph, bit clearer now, might go and find some t-shirts! didnt know i could use "auto-borne on them!, riki.
maybe they should market a new line called wicked autobourne...
Avoid using Windex, ammonia based cleaners, etc., in your airbrush, the ammonia will damage the brass and chrome. Sucking in the fumes of window cleaner or cleaners like fantastic is hazardous toyour health too.
I think the name difference was devized for the US/North American market, and the European,British, Austrailia, and New Zealand markets. I don't know which, if either, they are marketing in the middle east, the Asian markets, South American, or African marketplace
