Thread: trigger mods

Hi all,

Anyone know of any trigger mods for iwata's ... I seem to remember media making a taller trigger and a button cover at one point, but i've never been able to find them available anywhere.
Just want to try and overcome some finger cramping, would be nice if the body was a bit softer too, some kind of rubber wrap around, just some thoughts...

well i came up with my own trigger mod to try and alleviate cramping up the fingers. Take some tape fold it up and wad about the size of the button and stick it on. Not too fancy but it works.

yup...good thinkin, I think I even have some of em lying around somewhere, just need to find em and try it out.

they also make those little rubber pencil grips that may work for the airbrush, to cusion your grip.

Yah I'll have to take a look around for those, would be great to have some sort of a slight cushion on the body of the brush...I have a dent in the side of the of my finger after airbrushing for a couple hours.

Custom, try holding your airbrush differently. Instead of holding your brush in a fist, try holding the nut/female fastening end of the air hose between the tip of your thumb and the tips of your middle and ring finger. This lets you hold the airbrush in a relaxed style with the forefinger/pointer relaxed and extended while it is on the trigger. This means less cramping and shaking, and a more solid contact between the tip of your forefinger and the trigger button.
I think Coast still sells the extended triggers, but to be honest, they make very little difference, after you get used to them you go back to your old habits.
Keep in mind that you don't have to have a death grip on your airbrush.
