    Default diy silent compressor

I have an old compressor which I mounted a fridge motor onto, replacing the noisy diaphram electric one. Does anyone know of a way to recirculate the oil back into the motor instead of just topping it up all the time?
I also have a sil-air compressor, not sure whats different about their motor, if it reciculates it or not but you never have to top up the oil.

two on the bottom which dont seem to do anything, don't have them hooked up and two on the top, one pumping out air/oil mist, one intake air

I may be mistaking but I think that the intake tube and the compressor air/oil mist tube were part of the cooling coil /heat exchange /in other words the freon gas and oil were reused over and over, is 1 or both of the bottom tubes ends squeeze together or was they solder close, I am not sure but you might be able to add the oil for the compressor thru. one of the two tubes, DO YOU HAVE a water filter installed on the high pressor side of your compressor to stop the oil mist ?

the two tubes on the bottom are open still, just cut off...not sure what they are used for originally as i couldnt find info on motors with 4 tubes coming off it.
Yes I have and oil/water seperator before the air enters the tank and another one off of the regulator before it goes to the hose.
I cut a hole in the top of the motor to add oil through, so thats not an issue, I was just wondering how you recirculate oil back in if possible as the sil-air compressor I have must do that?? Unless there is a major difference in motors between the two?

I tried those links, don't have a membership to view them, but i've searched online before and found a couple of articles on building your own.

If the bottom tubes are out in the open where you can get to them with your finger tip then turn the compressor on and stick your finger tip over the tube end to see wheter or not you had got compress air coming out of the tubes or a vacuam going in the tubes, if the tube are a vacuam line then add some oil and see what happen

the bottom tubes do nothing. The compressor works fine, just wondering if anyone knows how sil air compressors work, if they circulate oil? and if you could modify a fridge motor to do the same instead of just topping it up all the time.

the only way to circulate oil that I see is to separate the oil from the compress air and route the oil back to the intake tube or to a another tube that will permit the oil to enter the compreesor piston area, topping it off every so often and empty the filter of its oil every day will be much simple unless someone with building compressor experience see this post and offer thier advice

Yah, not sure how you could go about rerouting it...just curious if anyone has tried to do it.

I am sure that someone has try it and possible figure the details out, I do not know how you can separete the oil from the compress air but if you can built something to do this then add a air regulation between the separetion and compreesor and set it at about 5psi to keep the oil moving
