Thread: Difference between HVLP and a Compliant spray gun

Damn,... spent half an hour writing a reply for this and my stupid computer froze before I could post it,... so here's the condensed version. A compliant gun meets government regulations for the new voc laws the same as a HVLP gun does,... but they are usually set up to use less volume of air so your compressor doesn't need to produce as much CFM.
Reguardless of which gun you buy,... as long as your compressor can produce the air to run it,... it usually comes down to spraying technique as to the finish you end up with.
