Thread: Commission

Well I got a commissioned to do a couple of vests. I was asked to do them with a Maori design. They are for two girls and their little brother. I sprayed the first one up and showed it to the client and he loved it so I went on to finishing the other two. When the guy saw them he automatically asked me to do another two, but they have to be black with white designs so that should be interesting. Whilst spraying these I could not help but think that if it wasn’t for the kind donation of createx I would not be spaying these and seeing as the designs are to do with long life, safe travel, fertility, and strength, I have sprayed the gray one as an extra which I will post to the person who sent me the paint as a thank you for the kindness.

Hey Neder, congratulations on the work for pay ! ! You deserve that and more man. I like those designs. The Mauri designs aren't something I'm familiar with, they look really cool.

I'm still hoping to get an AB job in that pays something like money! LOL although appreciation is nice, an actual job would be killer! LOL

Neder, those are really good. Like Greger said, I'm not familiar with Maori designs either, guess I've lead a sheltered life.... and need to get out more or at least search more on the Net.
Just keep on spraying man, thats the only way WE get better.....

nice designs neder, i like "maori" stuff, we see a lot of it here, lots of "kiwi" shearers!! and a big congrats on the "job" , like greger said "appreciation" is nice , but it dosnt buy the paint lol, you deserve some "real" appreciation". riki.

Thanks a lot for the kind words people. I must say I am enjoying doing these designs I know there is nothing technical in them qua shading etc most of the work is in tracing and cutting out the stencils so challenging they aren’t but they do have one thing I think and that is impact value. I shall be starting another two next week, black with white designs and one of them has to be with centipedes so I gotta search the net for some examples of Maori insects and I am interested to see how they will turn out but of course I’ll keep you posted

This is awesome for you Neder. Like done said, I hope you get lots of work off these and by the way, they look great... you did an awesome job on them. Keep up the great work and yes there are some really amazing folks on here, and them sending you the createx is one of the great things that happens from these kind folks... Keep spraying and having fun.

Thanks for the kind words Bill and yes you are right there are great people in our ABing family here I have to be honest and say that every time I think about my donation of paint I get a bit emotional.

They are beautifull Neder, love the designs !! It's very kind of you to send one to the person who donated the paint to ya. I hope these bring you much more work, got a feeling they will too ;-)

Thanks Todd & KD well Todd I cant take any credit for the designs as I like most people searched the net, however how they are put togerther is all down to me by that I mean the different meanings of the symbols.
