Thread: END OF YEAR COMPETITION

Right then the time has now come to start the end of year competition The prizes are a Hoodie with Pinstriped elbow pads. This garment has been worked on by some of the top artists from Europe and the UK and two Airbrush illustrated books from Ingo Koerner who is an extremely talented Artist.

The rules for this competition are as follows. You have to be a Supporting and or Subscribing member of Airbrush Technique Forum, and or Airbrush Technique Magazine. You also have to be registered before January 2011.
The theme for this contest is Fantasy/Mythology. You can paint on any surface that you wish.

The competition starts NOW and seeing how it is a end of year competition it will end on December 31st 2011 at 12 o’clock midnight CET. You may only enter one painting and two work in progress pictures’ will be required, you may however change your entry at any time.
Judging will take place during the first week in January 2012 by Peter Evers.

I don't know about extending the dead line danni there is still longer than a month to go what would be cool is for someone to get the ball rolling. When I posted the idea for this comp many months ago the feedback was very positive but at the moment I am having my doubts
I only hope that my efforts have not been in vein

Maybe, if we can change some of the requirements (like the length of subscription). I want to try it out, why not, right. Unfortunately, I do not qualify. What do you think?

no worries neder, it was worth a try, to be honest i only spotted the comp recently as i've not been on here for a wee while (moving house etc). I will try my upmost to get something done for the due date. really hope some people put in entries - it's such a cool competition! Thanks again for all the effort you've gone to to make it.

I,ll tell you idea behind the length of subscription thing. My thoughts were that like myself there are alot of people here that have been supporting ABT for a number of years with their hard earned pennies so as a sort of reward to these members I had the idea for this comp please do not take this the wrong way but we have had new members here that have won competitions in the past and then they just disappear I am not suggesting in any way that the people posting on this thread are likely to disappear but I am sure you can understand my reasoning. But hey if the consensus is to open the comp to all supporting / subscribing members then who am I to argue all I try to do is bring some pleasure to our readers/members. I,ll tell you what I will contact Don and get a poll going and let it run for a week and I will abide by the majority. Dose that sound fair ?

That does sound great. It is very logical. I will just continue working on a couple of things just in case you decide to do so. I dont think i will win ( maybe if i will be the only one who post something) but i am willing to try...

Well with the spring storms making it hard for me to work on my original idea I thought I would enter "Trevor"! Thanks greatly to the instruction and assistance of Daniel Power.

well i would have really liked to do something better but i am really not very good at this sort of thing, but it was fun and i learnt a lot, (thanks to all the help) , riki.

This is my unfinished Medusa - i only had enough time for two days work on it before the deadline but i thought i'd wack it in anyway. It's done on a renault car bonnet, using an iwata eclipse and auto-air paints. So far i've only used transparent white, red, yellow ochre and tan. I'm planning to put a lot more colour in, make Dita's skin more reptilian in parts, colour the snakes and probably put some toxic green smoke in the background. This is no where near finished, sorry

I'll enter my Robot painting in to the mix. Its Etac paint on an 11"x14" clayboard surface using my Richpen MojoII airbrush.

hopefully these should be larger

love the emotion in Trublu's piece and it's really well airbrushed.
