Well, let's see how this goes.

    Here's my entry:

Old geezer on canvas, freehand with Createx colours.

This is my first try on canvas. Otherwise I've only painted on regular paper, and it was quite a challange. The structure and the absorbtion rate of the paint is totally diffrent!

Well, another entry in the learning book!

Progress pictures from pencil sketch, to finished result. Including a total change in colours in the middle of the process!

    I hope you like it.

Come on Newbies..... last year I only had 3 months under my belt when I entered....I didn't win BUT it didn't hurt at all. No one here will see any mistakes that we haven't done already, its how you learn. So step up and put in your best work to date.

    You can do it!!!!

I don't have any progress pics as I did this about 6 months ago and only took a pic of the finished painting, but I'll post it anyway and let Don decide if he'll accept it as an entry without the progress pics.

Here's a piece (a celtic horse) I did on a flatboard piece of ashe wood, the iris flower with butterfly piece is a bowl. The other two are on a woodturned walnut that are curved bowls or boards that are turned square. The cherry flowers and violet flower piercings are supposed to be windows (imagine blown out by torrential storms).

I started airbrushing last January & fell in love with it! My husband and I a woodturners so I do a lot of painting on wood vs. canvas or paper.

So, I did this last evening, 29 nov 09 in a class taught by Jonathan Pantaleon. I've never airbrushed before this other than some dots and such. Hope I make the grade!

    Christopher

Ummmmmm... Never mind. I can't seem to upload the pics.

    here's the voting http://airbrushtechnique.com/forums/...est-18546.html

Are you sure its the correct format to upload?
That generally is the reason for problems.

Hey Doc. I have no idea of formatting. I've put the pics on other forums without problems. I believe it said that I used too much space. No worries. If you have another contest, I'll be sure to try. Thanks, C
