    Default Auto Clearcoating question

    Hi ! Iv been looking around for a answer but without any result so now i ask you ; If i want to airbrush a motive on a car . when i am finisht with the painting , do i hafto clear coat the entire car or can i clear coat it some other way ?

    Really sorry for my bad english Hope you understand anyway !

    im no expert but i would think u would just clear the artwork unless u are painting the whole car im sure someone will give u a better answer with more experience good luck

    No need to clear the entire car,... but I would suggest that you clear the entire panels on which you've done the art work. Tape those panels off,.... wash the panels with a good silicone and wax remover,... and sand the entire panel with 800 grit sandpaper. This will give both your art work and the clear that goes beyond the art work enough tooth for adhesion so that it won't peel off later.

    I am using Acrylic colors, that are really dull until I clear coat the area with Rustoleum Crystal Clear Acrylic spray.

    What really is the best way and product to do this?
