Wink No paint thru airbrush; just air

Help! Bought a Testor's compressor, and gave it a try. The airflow was just OK, but I just got air not paint. The paint was not thick, and there were no clogs. I blamed the compressor, and returned it. I was doing fine with the canned air, but that will get expensive. Thanks

So, what kind of airbrush are u useing Joani? What type of paint ? Sounds like you may have a clog up somewhere in your air brush.

The testo compressor is a single setting psi. I think it comes out at about 25psi. Fairly low for most paints other than inks and Golden or ComArt. The other thing is that you might have had an air leak at the compressor-hose hhok up. Get a bigger one. I have one just like that and it's the garage for the kids to use...lol

What Isa says makes sense, not enough pressure to blow paint.

hi. I was using acrylic paint thinned down with water. I thing you and Isa were right that the Testor compressor is too weak. Going to try a better one. Any suggestions for the Newbee. Thanks, Joani

Thanks everyone. I do believe it was the compressor. Put an adapter on my husband's compressor and regulated to 35psi. worked great. Thanks again
