Thumbs down Badger 150XF help re:not spraying paint

Alright, so i hope this isn't in the wrong thread, maybe it should be in the badger one.. anyways

I have an older 150XF, i have an XF nozzle, and a fairly thin looking needle. When i take my nozzle apart (two piece thing on tip of brush) the needle fits flush in the hole with the copper nipple. I cleaned out the brush, maybe not well enough. It has had VERY little use, maybe a few times, it was passed dow nto me from my real father. Anyways, down to business. When i have my compressor on, i press down the trigger. It sprays air. When i pull back the trigger and push it down, it seems as if more air sprays. My problem is though, it doesn;t spray any paint (water). I can see bubbles inside my little glass bottle thing, yet no water sprays out of the nozzle. Can you give me some suggestions on things to try ? It has worked before, last time i was using it it worked, then stopped working, i fiddled with it and put it away. This was about a year ago. Thanks for the help, and again, sorry if its in the wrong forum/thread.

What part would you assume is clogged? The hole beside the needle ? The nozzle ? Everything looks frickin' clean

All I can do for you is convay the common causes sense I'm not there to inspect it myself which is what I've done.

The very tip on these older models adjusts airflow like the MAC valve on an Iwata CM. Try unscrewing it a little at a time till the desired pattern is obtained.
I have one of these old beasts and although it is cantankerous at times is a very good AB.
Also check that the teflon O ring on the threads is in place.

so it works... Aye aye aye .. but it spits. It sounds like a machine gun, and it gets annoying because the paint is uneven sooo bad. Im using a high quality auto paint, and just cheepo paint thinner mixed 4:1 (paint : thinner). Is the paint the problem ? It seems to do the same with water

    Glad the O ring worked.
Now try the flow regulator ..... its the very tip portion. Unscrew it a little at a time till you get the pattern you want.
