    Default 2 .5mm AB's?

Just curious but I'm looking at getting another airbrush so I dont have to change paints all the time. I have an Iwata Revolution CS right now. It has a .5mm tip on it. I was looking into the Iwata Eclipse BCS brushes with the siphon feed which also has a .5mm tip. Now do you think it would be more beneficial for me to get a .35mm Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, or just go ahead and get the bottom feed. I like the bottom feed because it can cover a bigger area, but I just dont know if I would want a small tip or not for my next AB. Any ideas?

    Rehab'
Learn the revolution first then decide on the next brush. The brush will make some things easier but YOU will make the brush perform.
The HP-CS is a great brush and can do very fine detail it has been my mainstay for everything along side a HP-BSC (siphon feed) for quite a while now. I learned them till I could push thier limits no further before I got a CM-C+. But the point is don't get another right away till you have mastered the one you have. That brush may surprise you.

true. Thanks for the input. I just have this 40% off any item at Hobby Lobby coupon and man this is so tempting to get another AB.

Thats what Iwata is counting on which is why they manufacture one type of airbrush for everyday day of the month, I should know I own a different one for all thirty days.

    There's nothing like new toys

have fun whichever you decide on.

RehabRalphy, before investing any more money in beautiful equipment--it's time for you to start playing the game.!! FUNDAMENTALS can be performed by any brush out there--the only thing is, that it's not the brush alone that accomplishes this task..Give me a practice sheet with some dots--15 all done in a row without turning your air off--dagger strokes (they can't be done prior to learning dots) & while your at it, throw in some same width linework..when you complete these tasks with some accuracy & professionalism--I'll turn you loose in the art store!!

id recommend getting something with a different range of detail than your brush has now.

no need to get another that does the same thing.

    gotta love new airbrushes..

i just got a new Custom Micron C+ and a Kustom TH... both for differnent purposes. love them both.

i have three bcs's, but may be looking at an hp-cs for my next brush

only thing is i love the simplicity of interchangable parts, one bcs down two more running.

This is a REALLY old post, I don't know why you added your purchasing plans to it.

Not a big deal, I just wasn't sure if there was a connection between you and the original post on this thread.

This forum offers a huge backlog of information, so you will see old thread occasionally opened again.
Unfortunately, most people don't bother doing searches for answers or information before they post their situation or problem in a new thread.

    Hello Rehab
there is no need to change airbrushes unless you want a more finer line, a .5 will give you a nice spray pattern when fully open, and a fine line when partally open, but for very fine detail you will find it hard, but with the right control and the right paint mixture its not imp
ossible to get a very fine line out of a .5 needle nozzel. but its more how the airbrush has been set up which will make the difference,ie .5 is set up for airbrushing larger projects, .3 medium to small projects. .2 and smaller for fine detail.
its also about how :you: can control the airbrush.. the more control you have the better the results.
    i hope this helps
    any question email me
    kickasskustom@yahoo.com.au
if i can help i will
    cheers
