    Default Static or Overspray PAIN!

Ok, how the heck do you remove overspray when it sticks like poo to a nappy!

    This is driving me insane!

I have tried a tac rag but no good, it's like these engine covers are made of magnetic material or something!
She might be rough n rusty but she's all mine.

Don't have much experience, but on the helmet (that I'm still fighting!) I use degreaser (that I also use before I paint) to remove overspray. Good luck!

Your over spray .... Is it on cleared work or is it on some art work or some base coat? Stormers Idea works great for some light stuff that your tack rag just cant get... It can attack you color so be careful with this one... I have even added water to the rag to mellow out the degresser or pre sanding clearner just to be safe.

For base coats and cleared work were some over spary or tape leaks have blown by I like using some old 800g or 1200g and some water depending what stage you are at....But if the overspray to much for the 800g you might have to spot that kolor back in. IF on candies that will take some work to blend back together.. Sometimes a nicely over over reduced kolor wash with your Ab can hide some light over spray on your work especially if sanding will only make things worse... I am sure Mr. Diaz has a remedy for this one....

A few tricks that might help.
First, cover the areas you don't want painted.
Second, you might try a antistatic dryer sheet, or an antistatic gun like we used to use on our vinyl records (man am I showing my age).
Third, you might try using a box fan with solid sides, and a fiberglass furnace filter on the suction side of the fan, with the fan pointed away from your work, the air and overspray are pulled away from you and your work, and they are trapped in the filter. In the US, the filters run about three to four USD for the large ones. You can use several for your work area, you will find that they also help you keep your whole work area a whole lot cleaner and dust free. It is surprising how much overspray those little brushes can put out.
Fourth, if these are metal parts, hook a grounding wire up to them so that there is no static charge to them.
    Good luck!
