Thread: Next project!

Well, i'm still on a roll! the satellite dish will be on hold for a week, i just got the ok to start on the chevy belaire bootlid, gotta paint an old style service station with their 4 vehicles in attendance, the belaire, their corvette stingray, their 1932 hotrod chevy, and their harley, 2 cars getting petrol, one waiting, harley parked nearby. it's quite a big project, had to get photos of the vehicles from different angles so the perspective looks right.
the hotrod has flames on it, but they want me to paint the flames the way i will paint the hotrod itself, they're getting me to do the flames on it after it's repainted! bloody hell!
they asked how much, i said 1200, they didn't batt an eyelid. maybe a little underpriced, i don't know, but i'm happy to do it for that amount, also i don't have to do the clear! will definately post progress pics on this one. picked the boot up this arvo, i'm just mapping it out now so i can start painting tomorrow...

i got big shoes to try and fill!! after they saw the cars i did(friends talk to friends) they decided i could 'cut the mustard' so to speak, so here goes nothing!

hey thnx neder, things are a bit pear shaped at the moment, my mother had a suspected stroke on sunday, she's in a retirement village, couldn't work on it yesterday, wedding anniversary, gonna try and get at it today. i told them i should be finished by friday, think i'll have to tell them friday next week, lol

thnx Don, i live a fair distance away, so gotta wait for updates from the relatives. i'll post pics tonight of my progress..

thnx guys... i'm using graphite paper for the first time with this one, makes it a lot quicker, no cutting fiddly little bits with a stencil. should be very interesting

thnx kaiilla, my relatives are supposed to be keeping me informed, but as usual, i'm kept in the dark. bet they'd answer their phones if they thought it was lotto!
