Hi I'm new to airbrushing. The only experience I have was spray painting using the can air spray you can buy at local hardwares. I'd like to paint on a plastic type for my motorcycle and can't figure out what kind of paint should I use. I'd appreciate it if I could have some suggestions from you guys coz I'm really excited to create some pretty cool paint jobs of my design. Thanks!

    Hi Everybody,

My name is Dale and I just signed up on this forum. I'm 62 years old and retired last August (08). I hope this is and OK area to introduce myself. I didn't see any place for introductions. I am a "new folk" so here goes.

The airbrush I have will need to be replaced. I got it from my eldest son who used it for painting model cars. It's a siphon feed type with a single mode button. I've been doing a lot of reading on this site (how to articles, etc) and have searched for airbrushes. I live in Princeton, MN and now have the free time to pursue some stuff. I cannot draw a stick man either but reading some of the articles on how to airbrush maybe I will be able to.

Anyway, I've ordered some paints to give this airbrush a trial to see if/how it works. It's clean and all orifices are open and air blows through OK. I put some water in the paint cup and it blew out so I guess that part works too. Now all I have to do is wait for the paint to show up and ruin some paper. LOL

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for this site. So far it's been very helpful and informative. Hopefully I can manage to do something 1/10th of the quality that I've seen some of you do. All I can say about some of the art I've seen here is WOW!
