My bf is hogging the garage and I cant get no darn practice time in.
I do have a little work table outside and a outlet for my compressor.
Think it would be ok to practice outside?![]()

Hey there again!
I practice out on my patio sometimes. sometimes it might be too breezy.
just don't want your air to get to hot in the lines.
bsporty, if the object is not too big it could be placed in a cardboard box which will block the wind from 3 sides, the box will keep the table free of paint

I paint outside at car cruises, bike nights, etc all the time. No worries. Just wear a bit of sunscreen, and you should be OK.

Thanks guys!I will be under my breezeway so I should be ok.
I like the box idea!
i worked outside on a covered patio all last summer cos it was too hot in the shed, no probs cept the dam flies!! like the box idea!riki.
You can litterally do a whole custom paint job outside, and have it come out as clean and perfect as somthing done in a spraybooth.
Heres some pointers if you ever do.
For me in this area, Kentucky, any outside airbrushing and clearcoating I have ever done, had to be timed right or done right. If it is just windy enough to move the spray I adjust by getting my body, or the project, or something, to block the wind and I move in closer and move faster also while airbrushing. If the weather looks slightly unpredictable for the day, which is almost always, which means that it is predictable, than I set up a staked in tarp on the ground, and a staked in pop up tent, and I am ready to put the side skirt around the tent, before I get a raindrop falling on my head. The bugs are worst at night, summertime, especially having a light on the project, so I really like to get the airbrushing done during the day and cover and protect the work carfully and clearcoat between 9-12 am when it is still half way cool outside. Carefull not to leave adhesives and plastic on the projects during hot hours, they will melt to the project and cause problems. Also humidity can be a problem so be sure to dry the project up really well before clearing. Keep in mind, murphy's law, what can go wrong will, so be prepared and then the outcome is usually good.
