Thread: Acrylics on helmets.

My husband shoots HOK in his custom bike shop. I have been shooting Acrylics. I prefer my Acrylics for clean up and odor. We have been having a discussion about whether or not I can shoot my own helmet with Acrylics and have him clear them with his HOK clears. HOK says not to mix systems. I know that old-time painters did this all the time, sometimes with disastrous results.

What is the thought today?

do a test, spray a patch acrylic on a metal surface, and then use the HOK clear and see what the result is.
