    Default whitch paint to use

    Hi

A customer asked me to paint a protecting metal shutter on a surfboard shop !
Whitch paint do you think is better for this kind of work ???
Is acrylic paint with clear can be OK ?

    Thanks

    Hello don

Automotive base with clear ? or without clear ?
I'm afraid of what will happen when it will be open by rolling system ! if i wait the clear dry and roll the metal shutter after , maybe the clear will snap ???
Otherwise , i'm doing a harley sporster 883 and get another helmet to do !
After , i have to paint this metal shutter.

    Don't have many time to come to the forum. Hope eveything is going well for you. Will post you some works when it will be done;

Pat, I have to agree with Don mate.

Automotive paints all the way, the tough part will be finding a tough wearing, flexible clear.

Unless you can do it all in that pin striping paint.

    Just a thought

I would use atutomotive paint covered with automotive clear. Most good auto clears offer a flexadditive you can add to the clear coat.I know ppg does.

    Hi

To be sure , i've bought Cans , remove the air and killed the can to get the paint. I know people has many problems to erase tags and graffiti. That why i decided to use the same kind of paint.
Well , to finish , i've just sprayed a thin coat of clear to pop up the colour.
There is no problem when rolling the metal shutter
I think the main probleme can be Taggs over it during the night
I've asked by Email authorisation to Steve Diossy to do a reproduction of his art work . He has been very nice and allowed me to use it , i've just change few things .
