    Default wakeboard painting Done!!

Hi ,, here's the final result of my wake board project
had some setback with my clearcoating,,,thought i would take a shortcut
and only clear just beyond the design and then even out the overspray with
blending reducer,,didn't work out as planed though,,did something wrong
because the edges where my scuffed and the unscuffed clear did meet
didn't disappear it looked like the milkyway tried with buffing it helped some but not entirely,,so i had to clean the board again and spray some black to hide the boarders ,then clearcoat the whole thing,,hmm,,should have done this from the beginning,,it had saved me from all extra work,, another experince to put to the others

Awesome! How do you get your lettering so perfectly smooth? I've tried several times to cut lettering stencil, but just can't get it straight.

that turned out awesome , I will keep in mind not to try that blending thing if I ever run into a situation like that. Thanks for the mental note.

    Hi And thanks everyone
the only tip i can give when cutting letters is to be relaxed and holding the knife lightly in your hand,i'm trying to keep the angle of the knife in
little less than 45 angle and lower it even more when cutting straight lines
gives me good control, but in the bottom line i guess practice helps.

Awesome paint job as always!! I forget what gun you said you use to do clear, I remember you said you use the vl for stuff like helmets.. what did you use on this?
A guy at class last night asked me about painting a helmet. The only think that stops me from giving it a shot is he has no money, and the clear/sand/buff at the end... Spring is here, so maybe I could try to shoot clear out in the garage.. just seems like such a mess to deal with..

Hey that's cool, I have a china knockoff of that gun, it's been sitting in the tool box for about 20 years.. Maybe I can do my own clear..
