    Default Snowboard surface prep question

    Hi everyone,
What would be the best way to prep a snowboard prior to basecoating? Do you use an adhesion promoter and what grit wet and dry etc?

    Thanks
    Ashley

Clean it completely, degrease it, scuff it, clean it again, then prime it (if needed). The rest would depend upon what you are going to paint, what kind of paint you are going to use, and what the board is made of.

The top deck doesn't get anywhere the amount of wear and tear the bottom does, so you have more options on clearing it, but again, alot depends on the kind of paint you are using, and the material used on the board itself.
