    Default frazetta renditions

a couple of pics i tried after running across frank frazetta. this guy made some great stuff. i was blown away when i did some research on his works and wanted to try some myself, with a few minor adjustments. these were for two soldiers while home on leave.

glad to have some time and new works to show. i'm working on a complete repaint of a 41 willies show car, so there isn't much time to airbrush right now. thanks for the response, i appreciate it.

Very nice Mayhem! I was just thinking about that for a goalie mask but replace the Axe with a goalie stick and add broken sticks by the dead guys!

Btw are you the same Mayhem that was down in FL with Qickchange some time back? His screen name was just Mayhem or are you someone else?

No that is not me, I came across him also and the name of his place is only one word different than mine. I also found out that he had put some of my work on his my space page, wasn't real happy with that.

Excellent work mayhemAB, I've always loved frazetta too.

I think it sucks when people stoop to those kind of underhanded practices, claiming another artists work as their own. Like the guy you mentioned above in this thread.

I understand using pics to show someone a new idea because everyone needs inspiration here and there, but don't post it like you painted it. When i post something like this frazetta rendition, I want people to know that I did it to try to see how close I could come to the original, like most do when practicing. I am showing my work, not a pick of frazetta and claiming I did it or can do it. Thank you.

    Mayhem,

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was refering to the guy who used your art work on his web site, saying that your work was his. So that he could make money from the excellent work you did. I didn't intend to imply that you represented your self as Frank Frazetta.

Hope that clears up any missunderstanding.

i got what you meant and absolutely agree. i am happy that people like how it turned out. too bad i can't show it to mr. frazetta himself and get his opinion. the tank was damaged in a wreck and repainted black. so its gone forever and thats the only pic i have. sucks.
