hi guys this is my new project and my first color portrait tell me what you think
for a first time portrait I would say you are doing great. I am going to try a portrait pretty soon myself and can only hope that it could be this good. I would suggest a few things that might help. First is the eyes, they are missing the striations <sp> and if you look at the whites of the eyes, they are too white. then need some shading... look at the original and you will see what I am talking about. With out this shading the eye doesn't have depth and it doesn't look spherical. Hope these suggestions help, but again for a first portrait it turned out great.

thank you
i use only one color burn sienna do you think i should use more than one color to get the exactly skin tone and i have one question how i can make shadows with the same color is that possible
Hi Junery,
I would use a very small amount of thinned out red to make her skin a little pinker.
As far as the shadows they can be done by adding small amounts of burnt umber or brown to the base color. Use small amounts and work up to the shade you want. Also by just simply adding more layers of the base color it will darken it.
You can get the effect of darker shadows by erasing in the highlighted areas as well.
thank you so much my freind i'll try and post the results
