Thread: 1st Portrait

Hey all, thought I'd try to do a portrait of the wife. Turned out "so, so". I used only Sepia FW Acrylic Ink, and it's on a 11X14 sheet of Bristol. All comments and suggestions welcome...................Kwit

Wow, that is really, really good! Still room for improvement, but for the first time out, I certainly can't beat it. I think some more work with the eyes and brow would help define it some more.

Awesome job, and a great subject! Lots of detail in there. That's a great picture.

Beautiful lady & you've shown it in your painting..some of the other portrait painters will certainly give you some suggestions, but I think you've done a lovely job..

I agree 100% on the right side but got a little "gun shy" near the end and was afraid I might over shoot it to dark. I still may go back at it though or just try another one ........Kwit
