Thread: Urban Force Racing

This was a paint job I did several months ago for Urban Force Racing Team, out of Beloit, Wisconsin. I traveled out there for the college I work for, and did a custom paint demonstration on the hood for their race car. The hood hasn't been shaved or cut to fit in these pics.

Just got the pics mailed to me the other day, and still don't have the final pics, but pretty cool all the same. Fun to see what goes into these demonstrations of mine.

I was in Phili twice last year, long Island for a week, Orange County area for a week, and upstate NY (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse area) for 2 weeks......and will be spending lots of time in NY again this year. Will have to keep in touch and find out when I'm gonna be your way again. I think I'll be doing one of the big auto shows / competitions @ the Javic Center this upcoming spring.......will have to let you know.

I would usually try to save any cut-outs for later, but I'm pressed for time during a demo, and it's quicker to just re-slap and cut if need....using the "backmask in place" technique.

Well, this one was a doosey. I was scheduled for a full day, with the next morning if needed. Well, I arrived at the school at 7 am (an hour before the students arrive). One thing after another......long of the short, the hood arrived from the store at about 11 am, brand new and un-sized or prepped.

If memory serves me, I worked about 6.5 or 7 hours the first day, and about 2 hours the next day (including the rear bumper). So, it was a bit long, but had to do the prep work, the size is ginormous, and wanted it to be customer quality.
