    Default taking ideas

Hey guys i just found this forum, WOW . Im a professional painter in an up scale body shop by trade but do a decent amount of custom bike painting on the side.

I'm wanting to my own bike wich is all black victory. (no chrome on at all )My personal taste is simple and clean so im thinking a fairly simple flame design or tribal but keeping it dark, so its ghost or almost ghost. Problem is that im extremely indecisive with my own bikes. So i thought some of you guys might be able to throw out some ideas.

Welcome to the forum! If you want it to remain subtle I think that you are right about ghosting it. Here's a tribal flame that I did with a blue pearl,... as you can see in the second photo, on an overcast day or at night it only shows on certain angles,... but in the sun it tends to pop more. The great thing about pearls these days, is that every tinting system has a wide choice of different colours and coarsenesses. Make sure you post some pictures of whatever you decide on when you're done.

You might consider doing the flames or tribal in a dark range of a chamelion color, or maybe candies over a pearl or super fine flake. Doing a traditional flame design, then filling those flames with a ghost style trueflame/Truefire texture, it would let you keep the colors as subtle as you want, and keep the design as simple or complex as you desire.

the ideas sounds similair to what i had in mind. Good to know i must have good taste always difficult for me to commit to an idea for my own stuff. if it helps i plan on using house of kolors . its usually my go to for custom colors . sometimes Ill use the new Dupont Hot Hues .

What about a Dark pearl, House of Kolor has several of what they call" Black pearls " or consider a blue pearl, and trying to make it have a 3d look. could you pull that off with a dark color over black? ive done this before with lighter colors but never dark on dark.
