Thread: Eagle and flames tank-opinions please

Been a while since I posted but I've been keeping busy with working 4 jobs. Anyhow, I started this bike and well I'm stuck. This is the second time I have started to paint it, get a bit done and just don't like it. I don't know if it's my airbrushing or if I just really hate this base color....lol.

I know I got a little too heavy on the darks around the eyes of the eagle. But I do like the ghost effect I have going on with the flames.

Anyhow here are a few pix of what it done so far. Any idea's or help welcome and would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is looking good so far Z.... If it were me, I would keep going with it... hope to see more progress on it...

Thanks for all the comments, I'll keep everyone posted as I go. I still have the other half of the tank and front faring to do. The owner of the bike came down to check out progress the other day and loved it. I'm still a little iffy on it but I have come to the conclusion I just don't like the base color. Lol. Oh well, ya gotta do what the customer asks for...

Hey trbl mkr, That's looking great! Very nice work. Yes, colors can really impart comfort or discord to your inner being. LOL But, if the client likes it then it's A O K comforting or not.

I like the contrast on the tank. I think that looks really good. as for the rear fender, i think that right now the shield jumps out to much for the rest of the bike.

Other then that I think your off to a great start. Please post more

Everything looks well done, but I have a question: when it gets cleared, will it make everything pop out? Or will the flames need to be darkened up? Just asking for my my knowledge as well. I like the base coat color.
