Being a new subscriber to AirbrushArtistMagazine I cant go on about how much information is on the site. The past few days i have literally read the articles for hours, getting the best tips you cant find anywhere else. The articles are so indepth and helpfull its just amazing. Also if you have any questions about an article, you can come right here and ask. The great thing is that you get all the back issues, and a year subscription for a great price. AirbrushArtistMagazine is a must in my book for any airhead.

I think the online mag is very informative. It really is 'how to' based. It covers most airbrush related topics from canvas painting to custom paint. There is a lot of good information contained in the articles. A lot of beginners ask where do I start- dots and daggers are boring after awhile. Just look throught the articles for ideas and take it from there. Personally, I don't think you will find more info anywhere unless you have a huge collection of books and airbrush magazines to go through.

I am new to the AB and art world. I was an Auto Mechanic for 10 years and have been doing computer work for the last 10. The right side of my brain contains nothing but dust bunnies or as we call them Ghost turds. I have recently purchased an airbrush and with the articals in the Online magaizine and the help from the artists that wrote them (forum) I can actauly paint stuff that look like it is suposed to. NO WAY IN HECH I COULD HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT THE MAG!!!. I have since subscribed to the print mag and can not wait to get my first copy! The money you spend on for the online mag is less then a night out to dinner, and will pay you back a couple hundred time over! Thanks DON and all the fantastic artists that contribute for the benefit of all!

I picked up the airbrush again after 30 years to try it again (didn't get to far the first time around). I looked around online for some help on certain things and I found the key to the candy shop. The magazine has it all. You could save the subscription price by not making the mistakes you would have made. The first thing a lot of people read in a mag is the "Tech Tips" or "ask So-in-so". Well the forum is like that only 100% better, more topics and it never stops. No waiting for the next month. If you need help or even if you want to help others this is the place to be![]()

Auto repair to computers is a logical move, I know 2 other guys that took this route. However, art is a bit of a stretch for the logical thinkers.Originally Posted by codepunk

Actually I had a bunch of stuff that was shown in art galleries when I was younger so I have confidence that it is in me I just need to waken the sleeping giant so to speak. Like you said it must be some sort of natural progression at work here, problem solving perhaps or just the sheer challenge of it.
I subscribe to both the online and print magazine. The online magazine is full of important and helpful information. Especially for but not limited to the newbie (like me). The print magazine? Nothing else compares. I used to subscribe to a fairly popular airbrush mag. Or should I say airbrush advertisers mag? Nothing against advertising by the way. I'm sure that it helps pay the bills. That said, the other mag over did it and I am grateful to Don and the artists that contribute to the magazine every month for sharing their knowledge.

I am new to airbrushing but not magazines. This happens to be one of the best magazines I have ever subscribed to. There is a total of about 2 ads in this thing and they are just small adds for supporting airbrush supply companies. You get cover to cover Airbrush How To artical from some of the most talented artist around the world. These are not just short articals but multi pages full color pictures with step by step detailed instruction. The lastest issue I read cover to cover 3 times, and several articals were on supports and paints I personaly don't use (yet)I learn many new thing with every issue and feel it is well worth the price! What good is a $10 or $15 magazine if it has 20 pages of addes and 5 pages of usfull info. With Airbrush Technique you get your money's worth.
For an even better deal for beginners, Airbrush Artist online Magzine is worth the price you would pay to go to a week long class or more! This thing Rocks.. there are over 2 years of articals on every aspect of airbrushing from basic beginner shirts to high detail pinups, with 3 4 new articals EVERY MONTH! A new section has been added rescently that includes VIDEO you just can go wrong with this magazine. Don't even think twice about, skip the case of beer this weekend and get Airbrush Artist Magazine instead!
A very happy subsciber to both!
Doug
I have only been airbrushing for a few weeks now and have received a great deal of help from the folks on this forum and the magazines. Even though I live in a big city there is very little in the way of resources for learning. The library only has a few books and 1 video to check out for a city with more than 400,000 people. I first tried to airbrush about 15 years ago but gave up in frustration - that has all changed now and I am a lot more excited by this and have had a whole new world opened up for me thanks to Don and all the very helpfull people I have met here - rated A+++++.
A lot of how-tos and no ads that clutter up the magazine. Very in depth learning experience magzine and forum. The best magazine that deals with airbrush art on T-shirts, autos, motorcycles, illistration just to name a few. I have had subscriptions to other magazine that said they dealt with airbrush art but it was mostly pinstriping. Airbrush Technique Magazine is the way to go.

Just want to say thanks for the speed in which my subscription got to my doorstep. Sent the check out on the 31st of March and was reading it today April 8th. Wish every bussiness operated this fast and professional. From what I've seen so far in this issue I'm gonna be happy!!!!!!!!![]()
THANKS
hillbilly1955
And don't forget the video section that include a demonstration on how to do the Dreaded Dagger Stroke!!!
I suscribed to the online magazine, not knowing what to expect. I am new to airbrushing, and have no contact locally with anyone who uses one, so I was thrilled with what I got for my $$. Access to the past issues was well worth the money--so many questions answered and knowing the best ways to get started-just not having to reinvent the wheel makes it a bargain.
I sent off for the last issue of AT, also. Also a wealth of info--I am working on one of the projects in it at present and will post a photo when done.
No one asked, but this forum is one of the most informative and helpful I have ever seen. When I get the 155 under control, I hope to be able to contribute enough help to balance the information that I am getting by "listening". Thanks![]()
Simply AWESOME!![]()
The info you can learn in one issue of the magazine alone is worth the price.
