The first race for the new car is this weekend at Bristol should be pretty interesting. Sort of spec racing NASCAR Style.

Don, are you talking about the new body work that the cars have like the front air dams and wings in the back? Earlier this year I had to do some design work on a NASCAR licensed product - a generic car that could have any racers number and paint style and they were strict on how the generic car I designed had to look.
john
yeap John its called the car of tommorow by NASCAR
we'll see how it goes with it
if it provides closer side by side racing that will be cool and will allow even the litle teams to be more competive that would be great maybe someone can beat Jimmy Johnson this weekend
Rowie
Its more hearing it, smelling it than the sight when you heard 40 cars going by you at 190 miles an hour it's amazing. Getting to and from the track is the down side.
Any pics guys?
Sounds very interesting.

I agree Don it will be interesting. I wonder how many of the drivers will blame the car for all their mistakes.

Hey Don & Rowie,
You are more than right...the feel, the smell, the sound all are an experience in themselves. I live very close to Talladega and have attended many a race there over the years. But if you really want a kick in the pants, try out the Richard Petty driving experience if you get the chance. I did it last November. I got to do 10 laps (all I could afford) and it was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had. The G-forces, the feel of the car while driving around the high banks was totally awesome. I still have a grin from ear to ear just recalling it.And Don, your right again. The downside is the traffic before and after the race......a real nightmare!
Thanks,
Jim
